*Monopoly OCD Edition

People living with obsessive-compulsive disorder finally have a board game with their needs in mind.  Hasbro has worked closely with a panel of mental health providers and persons living with OCD to develop this fantastic new edition of an American classic.

You will notice a difference as soon as you purchase this game.  The game box itself is packaged inside of an outer box that protects the game from damage, moisture, and most importantly, outside contamination.  Once you open the outer box, you will see that the game box is sealed in not one, but two separate layers of plastic.  This is an extra protective measure that guards against outside contaminants.  

Once you remove the two sealed layers of plastic, you are now ready to open the game box.  You will notice the box is thicker cardboard to protect it from any tears. The gloss on the box is antimicrobial and smudge proof.  You will find that the corners have been triple bound to ensure you won't have any unsightly corner rips.  

After the lid is removed, you are ready to cut open the twice vacuum sealed board.  You will find the board is made to perfection and coated in antimicrobial material.  It is also stain and waterproof.  You will notice that the spelling of Marvin Gardens has been corrected to Marven Gardens.  The cost of the properties has been updated to reflect price points in $50 increments.  This makes gameplay smoother and less stressful.

The property title deed cards are extra thick to prevent bending, ripping, and general wear and tear.  They are coated in antimicrobial material.  The amount of rent has all been rounded to the nearest dollar amount in $5 increments.  No more rent in headache-inducing amounts!

The money has been printed on the same paper and fabric mixture the U.S. Treasury uses for paper currency.  One dollar bills have been completely eliminated.  An antimicrobial material, wrinkle repellent, moisture barrier, and stain guard has been added to each piece of currency by hand.  Go ahead and try to wrinkle up these bills!

Chance and Community Chest have been treated in the same manner as the title deed cards and money.  You can try to rip, winkle, stain, or ruin them but you literally can't.  All of the monetary amounts awarded or due have been rounded up or down to the nearest $5 amount.  

Houses and hotels have been updated and we are especially proud of them now that they will anchor into place.  No more houses or hotels getting bumped or off center!  Houses and hotels are now magnetized with extremely powerful Earth magnets that will lock them into place on the board.  The secret is the metal hidden inside the innermost layer of the board!  People who have a pacemaker should consult their medical doctor before gameplay. 

Game pieces or tokens have been updated to reflect the very special design of Monopoly OCD edition.  These beautifully designed pewter pieces reflect the players of the game on a deep level.  The tokens for this edition include: a prescription bottle, a perfectly folded stack of fitted sheets, a sponge and spray bottle, a human brain, a chaise lounge chair, and a medication tablet.
