Dear Betty: Walgreen's goes from Glass to Plastic 1/4/2019

Dear Walgreens,

I was in one of your stores in XXXXX, MN and I was picking up a bottle of Well at Walgreens Magnesium Citrate.  I picked the very last glass bottle that your store had to offer.  The rest of the bottles were plastic.  I'm wondering why Walgreens made the change from glass to plastic?  I assume it is to save money.  Glass can be recycled infinitely while plastic can only be recycled a few times before it is dumped into a landfill.  Would you please consider changing back to glass?
Thank you,
Betty

My two cents: I felt this was a generic response from Walgreens. It addressed nothing that I said. Magnesium Citrate is something that has always come in a glass bottle. I know this because I work in healthcare. This was the first time that I had to buy it personally and I never otherwise shop at Walgreens. Glass costs more than plastic, that's why everything comes in plastic. If you want to see this change, buy glass over plastic whenever possible and take a moment to politely email the places you spend money to let them know what you want. Shopping is voting. You have the power to make a difference.
