Dear Betty: Walmart Loves Sh!tty Plastic Bags 1/11/2019

Dear Walmart,
I was in a store in XXXXX, Minnesota to pick up an item for a Christmas gift. I am not a regular Walmart shopper and I was disappointed to see that you only offer plastic bags at the checkout. I bring my own bags when I shop, but not many people bring their own bags. Plastic bags are terrible for the environment. Would you please consider offering paper bags to help reduce the amount of plastic waste your company is creating?

Thank you,
Betty Stebber

My two cents: First of all, I despise Walmart.  I personally feel the store is a mess and jam-packed with crap.  I've always hated their sh!tty plastic bags, even before I had my garbage epiphany.  You end up with so many and they rip super easy.  In regards to my email, I feel I got not one, but two generic responses.  I did submit a survey response to let them know that they suck.  I have to wonder if the response would have been any better if they knew it was going to be featured on a very unpopular blog?  Probably not.  I think Walmart is all about the bottom line.  They are cheap and just want to make money.  I don't foresee them making changes for the better anytime soon.  Again, voting is shopping, and that's why I try to never go there.  I'm the sort of classy broad who likes fine establishments like Target.
