We decided to give Burt's Bees Peach and Willow deep pore scrub a try. We used to use an apricot facial scrub that we liked a great deal but the flexible plastic tube isn't recyclable and I'm pretty sure it contained plastic microbeads. Burt's scrub also comes in a flexible plastic tube but they have a free recycling program through Terracycle that we joined a while ago.
Burt's scrub got some mixed reviews. My handsome husband tried it before me and he told me it felt like "mayonnaise" on his face. I tried it and thought it seemed nice. It smells nice and it has what I assume are ground up willow pieces that scrub my skin. I like it enough to keep using it. I didn't understand why my husband likened it to mayo, so I asked him if he still felt that it had characteristics that are comparable to a creamy white condiment. He said it wasn't really like mayonnaise, but he couldn't think of what it feels like. "Semen?" I asked him. "NO." he replied.
If you're looking for a facial scrub that contains natural ingredients and has a more responsible container, is sort of like mayonnaise, and not at all like semen on your face, Burt's Bees Peach and Willow deep pore scrub might be for you!
