Dear Betty: Reader Email 11/9/18

Betty,
Can I put Kleenex, paper towels, and napkins in my compost?  They are bleached and I'm not sure if that is recommended.
Thank you!

Thanks for the email, great question!  I have read quite a bit about compost and I haven't come across anything that suggests you can't put bleached paper products in with your regular compost.  If you can find any of your items non-bleached that would, of course, be the better option.  These types of paper products break down very fast and help keep your compost balanced and happy.
